The Holiday Helper series, including the
Winter, Spring, Sabbath, and now the Fall
Holiday Helper, has given direction for many
people pursuing a Messianic lifestyle
wanting to honor the Biblical holidays in
their homes. What is the significance of the
Biblical holidays? How are we to celebrate
them? What are to we do with our family and
friends who do not understand what we are
doing?
The Holiday Helper series answers these
questions, and many more. They are a helpful
resource for you to have as you celebrate
what the Lord has done for us, and we look
to His Word for answers.
SCRIPTURE
UNDER SCRUTINY:
WAS THE NEW TESTAMENT REALLY WRITTEN
IN HEBREW?
© 2006 TNN Press
The Messianic
movement today is wrestling with many issues
that need to be addressed from a scholastic and
detailed perspective. In many sectors of
the Messianic community it is taught and
strongly claimed that the Apostolic Scriptures
(or the New Testament) were originally written
in Hebrew. Is this true? Can this belief be
legitimately supported with an understanding of
Biblical history, textual criticism, and a sound
ideology that has the salvation of the nations
in mind? Or is this belief something based in
anything but these factors?
If we examine
each text of the Apostolic Scriptures, can we
see that they were written in Hebrew—or in
Greek? Are the Greek Scriptures nothing less
than a shoddy amalgamation of texts, while the
Hebrew Scriptures have been “perfectly
preserved” since Mount Sinai? What role should
the Greek Septuagint play in our exegesis of
Scripture? These are some of the many questions
that we should all be asking when critically
examining the written origin of the Apostolic
Scriptures and gospel message of Messiah Yeshua.
After this study, you will not need to be
confused by misinformation and speculative
claims any more! You will have sound, secure,
and researched answers to the questions being
asked in our emerging movement.

SPRING HOLIDAY HELPER

The Spring holiday season lasting from Purim to
Passover to Shavuot is one of the most important
times a year for today’s Messianic community. Many
important themes regarding God’s salvation history are
emphasized during this season, which often attract the
attention of many Christians interested in their Hebraic
Roots. To help you and your household prepare for the
Spring holidays, the Messianic Spring Holiday Helper
offers a selection of articles on: Purim,
Passover, the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and
Shavuot. Various traditions associated with these
festivals and customary Scriptures read during this time
are considered—as is the dual emphasis of both the
Exodus and Resurrection of Yeshua. Believers have many
things to consider during the Spring season that are
surely worthy of commemoration within the framework of
our Father’s appointed times! Also included are some
Passover recipes and a brief hagaddah you can use
in your home for the sedar meal.

SABBATH HELPER

2004 TNN Press
Remembering the seventh-day
Sabbath or Shabbat is one of the
principal elements of the Messianic lifestyle.
Once every week, God’s people get to rest in
Him, fellowship with one another, and experience
a taste of the eternal rest He promises for each
of us! Of course, there are many questions
surrounding the significance of the Sabbath, and
how it is to be respected. The Messianic
Sabbath Helper is intended to aid you in
your desire to obey the Lord every week. We have
included articles on the importance of
Shabbat, the differences between Shabbat
and Sunday Church, how we as Believers can
practically honor the Sabbath, insights on how
to handle the Sabbath with our family and
friends who may presently not understand, and a
practical guide to observing Shabbat with
your family.

Margaret
McKee Huey is one of
the founders of
Outreach Israel Ministries
(OIM) and serves on its Board as the Business
Manager. She is also one of the copy editors for
TNN Press, a subsidiary of OIM.
Margaret is a multi-talented
woman who exemplifies what a Proverbs 31 woman
should be. Besides handling the business
responsibilities of OIM and editing assignments
with TNN Press, she operates an internationally
known needlework sampler design business that
she founded in 1985. Yet, she still finds time
to successfully invest in raising her three
children.
In addition to her business
acumen, Margaret is spiritually gifted as an
evangelist. She was actively involved in
evangelism through the Walk to Emmaus,
Chrysalis Program, and the Lay Witness
Mission while in the United Methodist Church.
When asked what Biblical character she most
identifies with, she demurely responds, “why
John the Baptist, of course.” The passion of her
heart is communicating the “Gospel According to
the Torah.” In an inspiring and convicting way,
she not only helps you understand the sacrifice
of Yeshua and your salvation, but also helps you
understand the mercy of the Holy One as a
diligent Believer follows His Torah.
Margaret comes from a long line
of Methodist preachers and teachers. Although
raised in a Christian home, she did not come to
true saving faith until the age of 30. She was
immediately drawn into an appreciation of
Israel, the Jewish people, understanding that
Yeshua was the Messiah of Israel and even
celebrating the Passover with her first husband,
Kim McKee, at their Methodist church beginning
in 1986.
Lamentably, in 1992 Margaret was
widowed at the age of 39 with the responsibility
for three young children. This unexpected
tragedy did not detour her from her relationship
with God, but instead prompted her into even
greater dependency upon Him as her provider and
comforter. As a result of her life experiences,
she is gifted in grief counseling and
deliverance issues.
Margaret is the editor for the
upcoming Messianic cookbook Kosher Your Plate,
as well as editor for the Messianic Helper
Series. Some of the titles for this series
include: Messianic Winter Holiday Helper,
Messianic Spring Holiday Helper, Messianic Fall
Holiday Helper, and the Messianic Sabbath
Helper.
Margaret is a graduate of
Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Geology. She is the wife of William
Mark Huey and the mother of John McKee, Jane
McKee, and Maggie McKee Huey and resides in
Kissimmee, Florida.
