One
of the most intriguing questions surrounding Americans who study
Bible prophecy is: Does
the United States play a role in the end-times?
Many
have postulated what they believe to be America's role in the
Bible. Some feel that the United States is not mentioned at all,
while others believe that the U.S. is at the center of prophecy as
end-time Babylon the Great and that it will be totally destroyed
coast-to-coast in a single moment. Both views have
been overstated and understated to the extreme.
It
is an undeniable fact that the United States is the most powerful
country, or even empire, to ever have existed on Planet Earth.
Is it not mentioned at all in the pages of the
Bible?
In this section
of Tribnews, we analyze how
America may fit into prophecy, how the United States will be judged
for its sin, and how the United States is part of the worldwide antimessiah/antichrist system known as "Babylon." Also discussed is the generalized Babylonian phenomenon,
and how we can properly address the United
States and where it might be in the Bible.
